Time for Action. More about 2012

Part 1

There are so many signs pointing to the possibility of 2012 being one of the most auspicious times in recorded History. There certainly is enough buzz about it too. Living in the age of communication, there is a whole range of sources, pointing to a whole range of possibilities. For example, I was in a bookstore last week where an entire section of the store was dedicated to 2012. Then last night, when I went to see the new Harry Potter movie, I saw an advertisement for a soon to be released movie entitled 2012. How we want to participate in these changing times is a decision we need to making as this fall begins and the energies of 2012 begin to intensify.

By now, each of us has some thoughts about how 2012 is going to play out. Some of our beliefs are based on our own intuitive hits about this time. Then there are the other resources and conventional sources that create our opinions. (Be sure to check out Cal Garrison's new book one of the best resources for 2012. Cal brings together all the astrological events and blends them with the teachings of indigenous people.) Where all roads seem to meet and where most everyone seems to agree is on the idea of this being the end times. And we know that with endings, always come new beginnings. That is the cycle of life throughout our universe.

As the days go by, I also seem to find myself thinking, meditating and writing about 2012. There is so much to process and the information about this time feels like a complex puzzle demanding attention in my mind. My consciousness seems to be flooded with the plans, events and suggestions about what this time will bring. And what action I want to take. If I forget about 2012 for a day, the telephone rings and I hear from a friend wanting to talk about something they have read or heard. Last week a friend who is also a psychic by profession was visiting and we spent some time "doing questions" about the next few years. The question and answer period went a long way to relieve some of my concerns. Even so, I have lived through a few of these sky events, but not one that holds the intensity or amount of shifting energy, as with this period. Like everyone else, I wonder about the period of the next few years - the events and what is going to occur. And what impact there will be in my life.

One thing feels certain. The energy on our planet is speeding up and time is moving faster. Not just from a sense of time passing more quickly, but that the evolution of humankind is stepped up. At times it feels like something is talked about and within a short period of time, it happens. The lead-lag time in the unfolding of events is minimal or completely eliminated. This energetic shift is creating an awareness that requires us to review our lives in many ways big and small. And we are being asked or forced to make changes. This may be an obvious need like cutting back on water usage, for example, or changing jobs or residences. What we can be certain of is the change is long lasting. Therefore, our way of viewing the world around us is demanding our consciousness catch up with the changes that are happening. Things are not going to return to the way that they were for quite some time, if ever. So doesn't it make sense in a way to be sitting on the edge of your chair, excited about what is to come?

There are a lot of things we can do in preparation for this time. As with every day of our lives, we have free will and the power to make the best decisions on a path of action for our advancing spiritual nature. So it seems important to enter into some conscious course of action. One way is to do nothing and wait to see what and how this era unfolds. There is great wisdom in doing nothing and in some cases can be the best spiritual approach. However, this is a potent time, a period in which most of us have already been called to action. We can be fairly certain that a combination of action and inaction will serve us best. But, in the end we will all have to change in some way.
