Originally built in 1958 by a Cairns bookmaker, the property was designed to capture the romance of the tropics and the colonial splendour of a bygone era. A charming history is reflected throughout, along with many unique features such as a full honesty bar where guests gather each evening at 'Twilight Hour' over a glass of complimentary punch. Long candle lit corridors and white wash buildings blend beautifully with palm-lined pathways and vibrant tropical flora. Majestic rainforest-clad mountains are a striking backdrop to three pristine pools, a waterfall and two Spas.

Accommodation includes a variety of spacious rooms and suites, each the picture of tropical elegance with large open verandahs and expansive beds romantically draped in light netting.

Reef House Restaurant offers superb beachside dining and world-class cuisine that showcases the pure and wonderful flavours of North Queensland in simple yet elegant dishes.
